Donika Ivanova
Acupuncturist
Qualifications and registration
Donika holds a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture from Middlesex University (2016) and a Master's in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the University of Westminster. She is a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and is currently completing a degree in Physiotherapy.
Donika chose acupuncture because she wanted to make a meaningful difference in how people experience their bodies, not just help them manage a symptom. She has always been drawn to approaches that support balance, awareness, and long-term health, and that help people feel genuinely in control of their own wellbeing. Sharing that idea with patients is still one of the things she finds most meaningful about the work. She trained in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture at Middlesex University in 2016 and went on to complete a Master's in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the University of Westminster, building a deep grounding in Eastern medicine across both traditions.
What makes her practice particularly distinctive right now is that she's currently completing a degree in Physiotherapy. It's an unusual combination, and a genuinely useful one. Understanding biomechanics and movement patterns has sharpened the way she thinks in clinic, letting her offer more targeted exercises and practical health advice alongside treatment. Eastern philosophy and Western movement science, brought together in a single appointment.
Outside the clinic, Donika recharges with long walks and travel. New places, new perspectives.
In Donika's own words
"In Eastern philosophy, health is harmony. I enjoy helping patients restore that balance so they can feel more at ease in their bodies."
