Thai Foot and Leg Massage

Thai Foot Massage is a massage of the lower legs and feet that originated in Thailand about 2000 years ago. It has become an integral part of traditional Thai massage and has elements of Shiatsu, Reflexology, Chinese massage and Yoga incorporated into the massage itself. On average adults take 5,000 steps per day and our feet are the main support for the rest of our body. When having a Thai Foot Massage it creates a physiological change in the body by naturally restoring homeostasis (internal balance), and leaves you with deep feelings of relaxation and well-being, as well as sensations as if you are walking on air!

Treatment :

At the beginning of your session details of your medical history and lifestyle will be taken.

Thai Foot Massage involves hands on stretching and massage, along with the use of a traditional Thai Foot stick to apply pressure and to stimulate specific reflex points which correspond to internal organs of the body.
During the massage, the patient's feet are soaked in a foot bath, typically a solution of warm water. The massage therapist uses liberal amounts of essential oil blends, to moisturize the foot and to provide lubrication. The knuckles on the therapist's hand are usually used to provide a hard and smooth implement for the massage as pressure is applied to the sole of the feet.
